Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PassVault application and related services (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal or internal use, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.

2. Your Account and Master Password

Important: Your vault is encrypted with your master password, which we never receive or store. If you lose or forget your master password, we cannot recover your data — your encrypted vault will be permanently inaccessible. You are solely responsible for remembering it and keeping your account credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

PassVault Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription on a monthly or annual basis.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region. Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store policies.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to access other users' data, reverse-engineering the service except as permitted by law, disrupting the service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited license described above.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including data loss resulting from a forgotten master password.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence unless otherwise required by applicable law. (Update this section to specify your governing jurisdiction.)

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
